Provision for Security Manned Guarding and Security Technical Services for Coega Sez and Non-sez Business

The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) invites suitably qualified and experienced service providers to submit bids for the provision of Security Manned Guarding Services and Security Technical Services for a period of three (3) years. These services are required for the CDC SEZ and Non-SEZ Business premises, primarily within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, as well as satellite offices and sites where CDC acts as an implementing agent. The scope includes 24-hour physical security manned guarding and security technical services, along with general repairs and maintenance to existing security systems, on both a permanent and ad-hoc basis.
Bidders must be VAT registered and submit VAT-inclusive bids. All entities within the bidding team, including those in Joint Ventures or Consortia, must be registered on the National Treasury's Central Supplier Database (CSD) and be tax compliant. Submission requires a valid SANAS Accredited B-BBEE Verification Certificate or a DTI B-BBEE sworn affidavit, along with proof of company registration with CIPC. Bidders must be registered with PSIRA and provide proof of compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulation Act of 2001, including criminal record clearances for security officers. A fully functional office in Gqeberha is required, with 90 days provided post-appointment for establishment if not already present. Mandatory liability insurance of R20 million Rands or more is also a prerequisite.
