The Free State Department of Public Works and Infrastructure seeks a Mechanical Engineering Consultant to provide services for the completion of the Morena Tshohisi Moloi II Primary School in Harrismith. Services are required for Stage 5 (Contract Administration and Inspection) through Stage 6 (Close-Out). The project involves construction of various facilities including 25 classrooms, 3 Grade R classrooms, a media centre, science laboratory, administration block with parking, nutrition centre, multipurpose hall, security room, and sports facilities.
Eligible bidders must ensure tax compliance, be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a CSD registration report not older than 3 months, possess a valid Letter of Good Standing (COIDA), and have their Mechanical Engineer registered as a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PrEng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Bidders must also provide proof of Professional Indemnity Insurance of at least R5 million. Attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting is required.
