Supply and Delivery of a Backup Microwave Internet and Point-to-point Link for Vaalputs

The National Radioactive Waste Disposal Institute (NRWDI) seeks to appoint a suitable supplier to provide a backup microwave internet link and a Point-to-Point Microwave Link (once-off) for its Vaalputs facility. This involves procuring and implementing a second independent microwave internet link from an alternative provider to serve as a backup (failover) WAN connection. This solution will operate independently of existing infrastructure, provide automatic failover if the primary link fails, and maintain continuous connectivity to Head Office and external services, aligning with IT governance and security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 22301, COBIT, ITIL, and MISS, to eliminate single points of failure and ensure resilient WAN connectivity for critical infrastructure.
Bidders must submit a quotation that fully adheres to the price structure, table, and scope of work, emailed to procurement@nrwdi.org.za before the closing deadline. Required submissions include at least two reference letters for microwave internet supply, ID copies of owners/directors, CIPC documents, a CSD Report, a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit, and all SBD forms (4 & 6.1). Bidders must be tax compliant and not listed on the Register of Restricted Suppliers or the Tender Defaulters Register from National Treasury. Indication of ISO 9001:2015 certification is preferred.
