Construction of 30 Bng Houses in Kheis, Kamiesberg Local Municipality for the Namakwa District Municipality

The Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA) of the Northern Cape invites tenders for the construction of 30 BNG houses in Kheis, Kamiesberg Local Municipality, for the Namakwa District Municipality. This project involves the construction of standard 40m² BNG houses, including complete top-structures, ancillary works, and additional amenities for disabled units as per specified designs and materials. Contractors are required to supply all necessary materials, tools, plant, equipment, labour, and supervision to complete the works according to contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the Implementing Agent.
Only NHBRC and CSD registered tenderers with a CIDB grading of 5 GB or higher are eligible. A compulsory site briefing session will be held on Wednesday, 12 August 2026 at 09:00 at the Kamiesberg Local Municipality Offices, 22 Main Road, Garies, 8220; attendance is mandatory, and late arrivals (15 minutes or more) will not be permitted to sign the attendance register. Tenders will be evaluated on functionality (70% minimum threshold) and an 80/20 preference point system, with specific goals for women/youth/black-owned, disability, and locally owned companies.
