Scope of Work
This tender is for the construction of a 1.1km extension of Alumina Street in Zone 5 of the Coega SEZ. The scope encompasses site establishment, traffic accommodation, environmental compliance, excavations, subgrade and base course construction, asphalt surfacing, kerbing, stormwater management systems, road markings, and landscaping. The construction period is 6 months from the commencement date.
Contractors must have a CIDB grading of 7CE or higher. Bidders need valid CSD registration and must be tax compliant. VAT registration is required, and bids must be submitted VAT inclusive. A minimum functionality threshold of 60 points must be achieved to proceed to further evaluation. Valid B-BBEE certificates/affidavits and CIPC registration are also mandatory.
