Provision of Interment, Cremation, Exhumation and Assisted Burial for Indigent Persons Within Ethekwini Municipal Area (36 Months)

This contract involves the provision of interment, cremation, exhumation, and assisted burial services for indigent persons and unclaimed deceased bodies within the eThekwini Municipal Area for a period of 36 months. The service provider will operate under the authority of the Assistant Director: Parks, Leisure, and Cemeteries.
Eligibility requires bidders to be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and to have all municipal fees fully paid or a valid acknowledgement of debt agreement. Bidders must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) for undertakers from the eThekwini Municipality Health Unit and their premises must meet all site inspection requirements detailed in Section 10, Annexure A. Furthermore, the successful service provider must maintain mortuary premises within the eThekwini Municipal Area for the contract duration.
