Supply and Delivery of Sulfur Hexafluoride (sf6) Gas During a Thirty-six Month Period on an as When Required Basis

The tender is for the supply and delivery of Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas over a thirty-six month period on an "as when required" basis. The scope includes providing new SF6 gas in 20kg cylinders, collecting and refilling employer-owned cylinders, performing cylinder inspection, testing and recertification, and delivering filled cylinders to municipal substations or stores. This also covers providing quality certificates and traceability documentation, ensuring safe handling, transportation, and storage of cylinders, and compliance with all applicable South African legislation, standards, and environmental requirements, adhering to IEC 60376 (new gas) and/or IEC 60480 (refill gas) technical grade benchmarks.
Tenderers must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and the eThekwini Municipality's database. Joint Ventures require individual registration for each party. Bidders are required to submit a hard copy and an electronic submission via the eThekwini Municipality JDE System (ESP Module), with the hard copy taking precedence. The service provider must maintain a local presence within the geographical eThekwini boundary for the contract duration.
