This tender is for the appointment of a service provider to render home-based care services at the Sivuyile Residential Facility, situated at Stikland Hospital, for the Department of Social Development for a period of five (5) years. The facility provides 24-hour residential care to persons with profound and severe intellectual and physical disabilities, requiring 100% care from home-based carers.
Bidders must have a minimum of two years' relevant experience in providing home-based or frail care services for intellectually or physically disabled children and adults, and must provide verifiable references. Home-based care workers must possess a basic SETA Accredited Home-Based Care qualification and be able to communicate in at least two official languages of the Western Cape, with the total staff complement conversing in all three (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa). All bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) at the closing time of the bid.
