Lease of 16.25m² Premises at Elliot Basin, Port of Cape Town for up to 10 Years

This Request for Proposal (RFP) invites interested parties to submit bids for the lease of a 16.25m² premises located at Elliot Basin within the Port of Cape Town for a period of up to ten (10) years. The property, currently vacant and previously used for storage, will be leased on an 'as is' (voetstoots) basis. Excluded uses include handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, staging of trucks, storage of fertilizers, truck refueling, contained handling depots activities, and open storage of dust minerals.
Bidders must ensure compliance with all tax obligations and register on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD). Joint Ventures must submit a consolidated B-BBEE score card. A non-compulsory online briefing session will be held, and bidders are encouraged to attend to understand the property's condition and the RFP requirements. Bidders are required to achieve a minimum of 66.67 out of 100 points for Functionality/Technical Criteria to progress to the next evaluation stage. Bidders are responsible for undertaking all necessary refurbishments, repairs, upgrades, and capital improvements at their own cost to ensure the premises are fit for purpose and comply with all applicable laws. The preference point system (80/20 or 90/10) will be applied based on the Rand value of the tender (below or above R50 million respectively).
