Scope of Work
Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) invites proposals for the lease of a 440m2 premises at Ocean Road, Port of Cape Town, to be used as a workshop/storage facility within the Container Terminal precinct for a period of up to ten years. The property is leased 'as is' and applicants must note exclusions on handling hazardous chemicals, truck staging, fertilisers, and contained handling depots. Any proposed use must comply with all relevant laws. The successful bidder will be responsible for refurbishment, repairs, upgrades, and capital improvements at their own cost to ensure the premises are fit for purpose and comply with regulations.
Eligibility requires bidders to achieve a minimum of 66.67 out of 100 points for functionality and technical criteria, based on previous experience, track record, and a detailed Business Plan. Furthermore, bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), possess a valid tax compliance status pin/certificate, and submit a B-BBEE status level verification certificate or sworn affidavit for preference point allocation.
