Scope of Work
Appointment of a service provider for the supply of seven (7) Radar Wave Gauges and seven (7) Radar Level Gauges, each equipped with GPRS (4G) telemetry and Stainless Steel PTM extension mounting brackets. The tender also includes the installation and training for three (3) gauges (including both Radar Wave and Radar Level types) at specified SA coastal sites (Saldanha Bay, Mossel Bay, Richards Bay), a site suitability analysis, and delivery of remaining equipment to the Cape Town Weather Office. Training for five SAWS employees on system installation and configuration is also required.
Bidders must meet SCM compliance requirements, including CSD registration, submission of all SBD forms, and a valid B-BBEE certificate/affidavit for preference points. Mandatory technical/functional requirements include demonstrating a local footprint in South Africa, providing OEM specification sheets confirming compliance for Radar Wave Gauges, Radar Level Gauges, Telemetry Data Queuing, and Power Source, and offering a minimum of two contactable references for previous oceanographic equipment projects.
