Scope of Work
The tender seeks a service provider for planned, scheduled, and emergency repairs and maintenance of lifts and escalators for a period of 3 years (36 months) within the Western Cape Region. This includes fulfilling statutory maintenance requirements for PRASA's property portfolio, comprising station facilities, workplace facilities, and commercial facilities, to ensure operational condition and compliance with safety regulations.
Bidders must be a 4SI or higher lift contractor registered with CIDB, capable of providing 24-hour service, and financially strong enough to manage the workload. They must have a staff structure to cope with the required workload and ensure a twenty-four-hour turnaround time for services, and comply with all statutory requirements, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Railway Safety Regulator.
