Provision of Canteen Services for Three Years (re-issue)

This Request for Proposal (RFP) invites suitably qualified suppliers to provide comprehensive canteen services at Mintek's premises in Randburg for a period of three (3) years. The services encompass the establishment and daily operation of a canteen for approximately 600 staff members, offering varied breakfast, lunch, and snack options, including special catering for events. Eligibility: Bidders must submit proposals online via the Online Tender Box by 21 September 2026 at 12h00, ensuring all official bid forms and supporting documents are duly completed and signed. Mandatory requirements include CSD registration, tax compliance (SARS PIN/TCS), attendance at a compulsory briefing session on 03 September 2026 at 11:00 (unless previously exempt), possession of a valid food serving license, and certification/membership with an accredited hospitality body like FEDHASA. Bidders must also comply with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act and submit a health and safety plan. A minimum combined weighted score of 70% for functionality and food presentation/tasting is required to proceed to the price and specific goals evaluation.
