Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Internal Access and Management Roads at Dwesa Nature Reserve

ECPTA seeks to appoint a contractor for the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads at Dwesa Nature Reserve. The scope of works entails pruning vegetation along the road reserve (10km), re-gravelling corroded sections, dry blading approximately 8 km, and opening and cleaning drains. The project requires the development of an environmental and health and safety management plan and baseline. The estimated completion time is six months from the date of award, followed by a six-month defects and liability period.
Eligibility requires bidders to be registered with the CIDB with a minimum grading of 3CE or higher and compulsory attendance at the site briefing. Bidders must demonstrate company experience by providing evidence of completing at least two civil engineering projects on road construction, each with a rand value of R1,500,000.00 or more, within the past five years. Submission of a project proposal outlining methodology and cash flow projections, as well as providing CVs and qualifications of key personnel and proof of plant and equipment availability, are also mandatory. Bids will be evaluated through stages of administrative compliance, technical compliance, price and specific goals (80/20 preference system), and risk assessment.
