Special Maintenance of Primary Road P18/4 and Access Roads (44 Km) Between Hobhouse and Ladybrand

The Free State Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport invites tenders for the special maintenance of 44 km of Primary Road P18/4 and its access roads between Hobhouse and Ladybrand. This project aims to rehabilitate existing road surfaces, implement base corrections, perform asphalt overlay, and surface with paving blocks where specified, over a period of 24 months. Key objectives include enhancing accessibility, improving road safety, and stimulating the local economy through job creation and skills development for local communities and contractors.
Eligible tenderers must possess a CIDB Contractor Grading Designation of 9 CE and be registered with the CIDB in a CE class of construction works. A compulsory clarification meeting is required for all bidders, and non-attendance will result in disqualification. Bidders are required to subcontract a minimum of 30% of the contract value to local contractors. All submissions must include a valid Tax Compliance Status verification PIN or certificate, CSD registration details, and fully completed standard bidding documents in black ink.
