Scope of Work

The purpose of this tender is to invite suitable bidders to submit proposals for the procurement of an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) system for Mintek premises. This high-performance and high-resolution system is required by Mintek's Analytical Chemistry Division (ACD) to enhance chemical analysis services for a wide range of geological, metallurgical, and environmental samples, facilitating superior spectral and non-spectral interference removal and ultra-trace elemental determination.
The ICP-MS instrument will be used for multi-element analysis, including technology and base metals, rare earth elements, precious metals, and heavy metals. It must provide tandem MS capability with independent precursor ion selection, product ion filtering, and controlled reaction chemistry to ensure accurate, low-level quantification across diverse and complex-matrix sample types. The system needs to be suitable for both research applications and high-throughput routine analysis, where reliable interference removal and data quality are critical.
