Township Establishment

This tender invites bids for a Township Establishment project. The scope of work involves the formal transfer of six (06) hectares of land from Polokwane Local Municipality to Capricorn District Municipality, including statutory township establishment processes for subdivision, conversion to municipal land use, and compliance with planning by-laws to facilitate the establishment of a District Disaster Management Centre and related infrastructure. The estimated duration of the project is 24 months, subject to environmental approvals and public participation.
Bidders must comply with all bid conditions, including submitting a valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) number, proof of company registration, municipal rates and taxes (not older than three months), and a signed Joint Venture Agreement (if applicable). Attendance at the compulsory site inspection is mandatory. Bidders must be registered in the relevant contractor category with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for construction work. Evaluation will be based on functionality (minimum 80 out of 90 points required) and the 80/20 preference point system, requiring submission of documentation to support specific goals.
