Appointment of Construction Professional Services Provider Multi-disciplinary Team for New Theatres, Critical Care Unit, Kitchen, and Parking at Bethesda District Hospital, Umkhanyakude District

This tender seeks a multi-disciplinary Construction Professional Services Provider team, with an Architect as Principal Agent, to undertake the design, construction, and close-out (Stages 1-7 of FIDPM) of a project at Bethesda District Hospital in the uMkhanyakude District, KZN Department of Health. The project involves the construction of new theatres, a critical care unit, a kitchen, and parking facilities, aiming to deliver a fully resourced hospital environment compliant with current norms and standards.
Bidders must propose a complete team of registered professionals, including an Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Land Surveyor, and Construction Health and Safety Agent, each meeting specified experience and registration requirements. The lead architectural entity must be 51% black-owned and managed by a registered Professional Architect with at least 8 years of post-tertiary qualification experience. Bidders must also provide proof of professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of R5 million per discipline, or 3 times the value of tendered fees.
