Scope of Work
This tender is for a 36-month rate-based contract for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of critical life-threatening ammonia plants and related equipment at the City's bulk fresh produce markets within Ward 32 of eThekwini Municipality. The scope includes maintenance, servicing, and repairs of two ammonia plants, cold rooms, air handling units, electrical and control panels, and other related equipment, with attendance to breakdowns.
To be eligible, tenderers must have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 ME or higher, attend the compulsory clarification meeting, and be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and eThekwini Municipality Supplier Portal at the time of tender closing. Bidders must be in good standing with municipal rates and taxes, have verified tax compliance status, and be actively registered with CIDB. Joint ventures are generally not eligible to submit tenders for this project.
