Appointment of Service Provider(s) for Online Credential Verification Services for a Period of 36 Months

In light of a highly competitive labour market and heightened levels of unemployment, the eThekwini Municipality is aware the growing trend of fraudulent credential submissions by prospective job applicants. In response to this pressing concern, the municipality is seeking the service from qualified service providers to conduct comprehensive online credential verification checks. This initiative aims to strengthen the integrity of our recruitment processes and ensure that only candidates with genuine qualifications are considered for job opportunities within the municipality. The chosen service providers will be responsible for carrying out thorough and efficient verification procedures over a period of 36 months, demonstrating expertise in credential verifications and upholding the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Tenderers must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). Bidders are required to have cumulative project experience of at least 3 years in providing credential verification services in South Africa over the past 5 years, supported by signed reference letters on customer letterhead. The proposed web-based solution for submitting and tracking requests must be ISO/IEC 27001 certified for information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection, accessible via a standard web URL in modern browsers, with no local software installation or driver requirements. The company must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience in the industry, sufficient capacity to manage requests, and maintain an established, up-to-date database or qualification register.
