Catering Services at Qumbu Child and Youth Care Centre (or Tambo District) for Three Years

This tender is for the appointment of a service provider to offer comprehensive catering services at the Qumbu Child and Youth Care Centre in the OR Tambo District over a three-year period. The scope includes providing three nutritious meals and three snacks daily for up to 48 children, supplying all necessary staff (including a food service manager for a minimum of five days a week), cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, dining hall, and equipment after each meal, and ensuring the institution is well-stocked with groceries based on a departmental menu.
Eligibility requires bidders to be experienced in catering, registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with compliant tax affairs, and to have a minimum of one year's combined experience in providing catering services on a fixed-term contract. Bidders must also provide a detailed price schedule for all three years, factoring in anticipated annual escalation, as no price variations will be allowed during the contract term. Staff deployed to the centre must undergo criminal record clearance and TB screening, and their names must not be on the Sexual Offences Register.
