Scope of Work
This tender seeks to accredit independent health practitioners to conduct technical quality assurance of completed medical assessments for disability-related grants within the Western Cape Region over a three-year period. The scope of work involves evaluating information in prescribed disability assessment forms and associated medical records, appraising recommendations against standards set out in the Social Assistance Act, and completing quality assurance forms, typically up to a maximum of 400 cases per week per practitioner.
Eligible bidders must be currently registered with the HPCSA with active status and possess a minimum of five years of clinical experience post-community service. Prospective practitioners are required to attend a compulsory information session on disability management conducted by the Agency. Importantly, Health Practitioners residing in a particular district will be excluded from undertaking quality assurance work within that specific district.
