Refurbishment of Metal Seated Butterfly Valves for CW Isolation Valves on Main Condenser (T1 and T2)

This document defines the technical evaluation criteria to be applied for the refurbishment of the T1 and T2 main condenser cooling water isolation valves (triple offset, metal seated butterfly valves, 1350NB) at Grootvlei Power Station. The purpose is to provide a structured technical evaluation framework, ensure compliance with standards, facilitate objective comparison, and support engineering due diligence in supplier selection to restore condenser isolation integrity and improve plant reliability.

Contractors must provide all required technical tender returnables and achieve a minimum weighted score of 70% overall in the technical evaluation. Failure to provide all required documents or a 'NO' response to any mandatory gatekeeper criterion will render the tender non-responsive and lead to immediate disqualification. Bidder must provide at least two verifiable references for refurbishment of triple offset, metal seated butterfly valves (>=1200mm diameter), performed in South Africa since 2015, and all refurbishment work must be conducted in South Africa.
