Lease of 607.5m2 Premises at Alkmaar Road, Port of Cape Town for up to 10 Years

The objective of this Request for Proposal is to invite interested parties to submit responses for the lease of premises at the Port of Cape Town. The property, measuring 607.5m2, is designated for office activity and will be leased on an "as is" (voetstoots) basis, available from 01 November 2026 within the Container Terminal. Exclusions for use include the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, staging of trucks, storage of fertilizers, truck refueling, and contained handling depots, with no dust minerals to be stored in open areas. The successful bidder will be obliged to undertake any necessary refurbishment, repairs, upgrades, and capital improvements at their own cost.

Bidders must ensure compliance with all tax obligations by submitting a SARS PIN or a printed Tax Compliance Status (TCS) Certificate. For joint ventures or consortia, each party must submit a separate TCS certificate/PIN/CSD number. Registration on the National Treasury's Central Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory; foreign bidders without a local registered entity must incorporate a South African company for the lease agreement. A B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or Sworn Affidavit (for EMEs & QSEs) is a mandatory returnable document. Furthermore, bidders must achieve a minimum functionality threshold of 66.67 out of 100 points to progress to the next evaluation stage.
