Lease of Premises at Cnr of Duncan and Vanguard Road, Port of Cape Town for up to 10 Years

This Request for Proposal (RFP) invites interested parties to submit bids for the lease of premises, approximately 4795m2 in extent, located at the corner of Duncan and Vanguard Road within the Port of Cape Town, for a period of up to ten (10) years. The property is currently vacant and designated for storage and laydown area activities, with specific exclusions for the handling or storage of hazardous chemicals, staging of trucks, storage of fertilizers, truck refueling stations, contained handling depots, and dust minerals.
To be eligible, bidders must submit their proposals online through the Transnet e-Tender system, ensuring that all mandatory and essential returnable documents are provided, including a valid B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or Sworn Affidavit, a Tax Compliance System PIN or certificate, and proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Bidders are required to include a comprehensive business plan detailing their proposed operations, environmental management, capital expenditure for any refurbishments, and proof of financial viability. A non-compulsory virtual briefing session will be held via Microsoft Teams on 14 October 2026 at 10:00 AM.
