Construction of the Rietvlei Sewage Pump Station, Rising Main and Associated Tie-in Works at the Bellville Wastewater Treatment Works

This contract entails the construction of a new 1100 L/s Rietvlei sewage pump station, including a sandtrap and automated mechanical screening station, built 14m below natural ground level. It also covers a dual 1980m long DN710mm HDPE rising main to the Bellville Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW). Associated tie-in works at the Bellville WWTW involve a new 758 L/s by-pass sewage pump station with mechanical screens and vortex degritters, and the construction of a new administration building at the Rietvlei pump station site.
Bidders must possess an estimated CIDB contractor grading designation of 9CE or higher and be registered on Supplier Databases (or agree to register upon request). Preferences will be applied in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations and the City of Cape Town's Supply Chain Management Policy, requiring tenderers to meet HDI and/or RDP specific goals.
