Professional Consulting Services for Water Infrastructure Upgrade and Internal Reticulation at Manyeleti Nature Reserve

The primary objective is to appoint a civil engineer to assess the root cause of contamination and develop a comprehensive mitigation plan for the Manyeleti Nature Reserve. The project aims to restore long-term compliance with SANS 241 by systematically replacing hazardous asbestos cement (AC) pipes, upgrading bulk water storage facilities (including demolition of a dilapidated pressed steel tank and design/construction of a replacement steel tank), and ensuring all asbestos handling is legally compliant, with an Approved Asbestos Inspection Authority (AAIA) as subconsultant.
Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database, be tax compliant, and submit all required SBD forms and company documentation. Key personnel must hold relevant professional registrations (ECSA Pr. Eng. or SACPCMP Pr. CM/CPM) with certified copies of certificates and qualifications. Bidders must demonstrate company and project value experience in water reticulation and backup storage, and provide a detailed project execution methodology including risk management for asbestos abatement. A Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) is required, and preference points will be awarded for specific goals including historically disadvantaged, women, disability, and youth ownership of at least 50+1%.
