Appointment of a Service Provider to Provide Professional Consulting Services for the Construction of a Water Supply Pipeline at Kroomdraai Camp

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency invites bids from service providers for professional consulting services for the construction of a water supply pipeline at Kroomdraai Camp within the Songimvelo Nature Reserve. The project entails various civil engineering services including topographical surveys, hydraulic design, pipeline installation (approximately 1.5km), bulk connection to the municipal supply line, installation of air valves, scour valves, and smart water meters, as well as testing, commissioning, and an access road feasibility study. The primary objective is to establish a sustainable and reliable water supply to address current inconsistencies, meet water demand for chalets, and reduce reliance on alternative water sourcing.
Bidders are required to submit their proposals physically to the Supply Chain Management Unit, Procurement Office, MTPA Finance Block E, Halls' Gateway, Mataffin, Mbombela, 1200, by the specified closing date and time. A non-refundable tender levy of R300.00 is applicable. Eligibility is contingent upon registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and maintaining tax compliance. Bidders must meet specific functional criteria for company experience, project value, method statement, and project engineer qualifications, achieving a minimum threshold of 70 points to proceed. Preference points will be awarded based on specific goals for Historically Disadvantaged Individuals, Youth, Women, and Persons with Disabilities, linked to a minimum 50+1% ownership status in these categories.
