Scope of Work
This contract is for the appointment of a suitably registered and experienced Service Provider to provide Cash-In-Transit (CIT) services for the Msunduzi Municipality for a three (3) year period. The scope includes the collection, conveyance, and delivery of cash and other monies from eighteen (18) designated collection points, provision of all necessary consumables, and comprehensive insurance cover during transit, all to be conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, industry standards, and security requirements.
To be eligible, tenderers must meet mandatory requirements including current registration with PSIRA and NBCRFLI. Bidders must possess a minimum of 8 valid firearm licenses issued under Section 20 of the Firearms Control Act and own or lease a minimum of 4 armored vehicles with corresponding proof. Furthermore, bidders must achieve a minimum functionality score of 80% (72 out of 90 points) in Stage One of the evaluation to be considered for the subsequent price and preference stage.
