The contract entails the appointment of a professional service provider for the development of bulk water supply pipelines for the Upington Precinct and surrounding areas. This includes planning, design, and project management, encompassing hydraulic assessments, technical reports, designs, procurement documentation, bid evaluations, and construction supervision for raw and clean water pipelines and pumping systems.
Bidders must be registered with ECSA as a professional engineer or technologist, hold ISO Quality Management System 9001:2015 certification or equivalent, and possess Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance with a minimum cover of R5 Million. A minimum functionality score of 70% is required to qualify for further evaluation, with key personnel needing ECSA registration and proven experience in similar bulk water projects. Bidders must also submit a municipal account not older than 3 months or a sworn affidavit/lease agreement if not liable for municipal services.
