Establishment of Additional Database for Geotechnical Engineering Firms for Housing Development (3 Years: 2026/27 - 2028/29 Financial Years)

The Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA) invites proposals from Geotechnical Engineering firms for a three-year contract (2026/27 to 2028/29 financial years) to establish an additional database. Appointed firms will conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 geotechnical investigations, including laboratory testing from SANAS accredited labs, and provide recommended foundation designs for housing development sites across the Capricorn, Sekhukhune, Waterberg, Mopani, and Vhembe district municipalities in Limpopo Province. Deliverables include Inception Reports, Phase 2 Geotechnical Investigation Reports, and NHBRC approval.
Bidders must ensure tax compliance, submit a unique SARS PIN or CSD number, and declare no conflict of interest with state employees. Each party in consortia/JV must submit separate tax compliance/CSD details. At least one Director/Member of the bidding firm must be registered with SACNASP (Professional Natural Scientist) or ECSA (Professional Engineer/Technologist), providing a registration letter of good standing. Proof of foreign qualification accreditation by SAQA is required where applicable.
